Insight and assistance on Amsterdam's IJ ferries.

Insights

A live view of the whole ferry fleet.

Roboat's INSIGHTS platform is deployed across the IJ-series ferries. It automatically collects operational data (energy use and vessel status) and gives operators a live overview of the fleet, helping GVB understand how the ferries perform and informing decisions on the design and operation of future electric vessels.

Assist

Situational awareness and docking support, on the water.

Roboat's ASSIST system is being piloted on a GVB ferry, giving the crew situational awareness and docking support to make daily operations run smoother: the first step on the roadmap from assistance toward automation, with the crew always in command.
