Royal visit to Roboat’s auto-sailing ferry at Holland Shipyard Group in Hardinxveld-Giessendam

We’re honoured to announce that His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate, Micky Adriaansens, visited our partner, Holland Shipyards Group, to witness the progress of our next-gen auto-navigation ferry project for Paris. This pinnacle of innovation has been designed to test three shipbuilding technologies simultaneously: automated navigation, battery-electric propulsion, and 3D printed hull, deck, and superstructure. 

The support of King Willem-Alexander and Minister Adriaansens reinforces the importance of innovation in the shipbuilding and water mobility industry and underscores the impact of our collaboration with Holland Shipyards Group. 

As we approach the final development stages of the auto-sailing ferry, the team’s commitment to advancing waterway automation has never been stronger.
